What to Do When Runners Feel 'Itchy'? Is Home Running Really Possible?
As some units have resumed work, many runners' hearts and feet have been 'itching'.
At this time, we suggest that you might as well let your feet rest, and in addition to the 'living room marathon', try core strength training.
1. Respond to the call, try not to go out.
Regarding the concerns of runners about participation, 'dropping out' is optional, and even 'preferred'.
In fact, most marathons in China in March and April have been postponed or canceled. For runners who have already registered for overseas marathons, a comprehensive assessment and caution are advisable.

2. Regarding the venue, it is best to stay at home indoors.
Some runners have already started 'living room marathons', performing laps, which can be chosen autonomously according to the size of one's space, as long as it doesn't affect others' rest, such as downstairs residents.

In addition, when doing lap running, you should also pay attention to the route and direction changes to avoid dizziness and headaches.
3. Regarding the amount of exercise, it is still moderate.
Just after the spring equinox, the temperature is still low, even if it's indoors, excessive intensity and duration can easily lead to colds, which is not worth the effort.

The body is a precise machine that needs 'maintenance' and 'care'. Reducing the amount of exercise and letting the body relax is necessary during this period.
4. Regarding the training method, in addition to the 'living room marathon', you might as well try core strength training.
There are many ways to core strength training, such as the very popular 'fancy' plank, push-ups, jumping rope, and squats. These also have 'multiplier effects' in long-distance running training.

Including marathons, long-distance running is endurance sports, but from a participation perspective, it is actually a speed event. Those who are aiming for 'PB' or 'layback' runners all must finish within the closing time.
When the wildflowers are blooming, with 'core strength', it's never too late to go out to train or compete.
