These Converse G4 shoes are durable, with Dream Chasing endorsing another comeback masterpiece.
If it were only the black and white high-top, I definitely wouldn't buy this shoe. The BB is over. Let's take a look at the pictures.
This shoe's design clearly inherits from the ERX260, with highly consistent details. However, the 260's biggest feature, the large tongue, has been cut off. The tongue is not only small but also short.

The upper uses a traditional fabric material, which is relatively soft, but luckily it's reinforced with thermoplastic. The position and strength are reasonably adequate. However, it's a pity that the upper is almost empty.

The star sword logo on the inside and outside is different in color.

The tongue thickness is pretty average.
From the ankle support angle, it seems thick, but in reality, it's just a little bit on top.

The heel area, with soft materials on both sides, is only for decoration and has no protective function. However, don't worry, it's built with TPU to ensure stability and protection.

The mid-sole configuration is surprising. This shoe's mid-sole uses a front-facing fan-shaped Zoom combined with a rear-facing built-in React cushioning configuration, which is the first time this configuration has appeared in basketball shoes.
The air cushion placement is closer to the bottom of the foot, making it easier to feel the softness of the Zoom, which is helpful for improving the foot feel. After wearing it, you can also easily feel the effect of the air cushion.

The React area on the rear foot is about the same size as the large horseshoe-shaped Zoom. The outsole windows allow you to see the cushioning material. However, during testing, it didn't easily feel the softness of the React, and the actual performance needs to be seen after practical use.
Besides Zoom and React materials, the remaining mid-sole is filled with ordinary phylon, but it's still tuned to be soft and bouncy. The front and sides have a retro-style design, using an integrated outsole to wrap the mid-sole cushioning material. The rear sides of the outsole also heavily borrowed from the 260 design language.

The outsole is also copied from the 260, but the redesigned patterns are more suitable for the needs of modern basketball, providing better grip.

A single 42.5 size weighs 368 grams. As a low-cut performance shoe, the weight control is not bad.
This shoe has several problems, one is that the insole is glued too tightly, and the new shoes damaged the insole a little when pulling it out. If you step on it and take it off, it will be difficult to pull it out. Friends who are used to replacing insole should replace it as soon as they get it.

There's also a shoe toe problem. Converse's shoe toe is always small and low in the front, such as the PRO BB needs to buy a half or one size larger. But this shoe doesn't have these problems. I bought a half size larger, 42.5 size, and it was too big. If you buy it normally, it's enough. For slim-footed friends, you can even try a half size smaller, because the inner length is enough. Since this shoe has a relatively thin shoe surface, it's better to buy it in a more fitting package.
This shoe has high-top and low-top versions, except for the height of the shoe vamp, the configuration is the same. The low-top selling price is 799, and the high-top is 869. Personally, I feel that the price of this shoe is a bit high, considering its configuration and positioning, even if it's not a signature shoe, the hype of Dream chasing is already over! If this shoe's price can drop to 450, then I would recommend it strongly. Now the price is not recommended.
