Enjoy Homemade Dough Dishes During Downtime

While having plenty of time like this, let's play flour with me. Compared to rice, flour can make all kinds of fancy shapes, and it's possible to do it for a month without repetition. I've collected 12 recipes for flour dishes, if you like, collect and learn to make them. You can change them every day to feed your family.

Red sugar red date bun

Ingredients: Middle-strength flour 260g, warm water 130g, red sugar 45g, red dates, yeast 3g

Steps:

1. Put red sugar and yeast into a bowl, add warm water and stir until evenly mixed.

2. Put flour into a bowl, gradually add red sugar water and form a dough with the right softness.

3. Cut small pieces of red date, put the red dates into the dough, cover with plastic wrap, and put in a warm place to ferment.

4. After fermentation becomes 2.5 times bigger, pull it open and check that there are honeycomb-shaped holes inside, that's when it's fully fermented.

5. Knead and deflate the dough repeatedly, and evenly divide it into 10 small pieces, and shape them into buns.

6. On the top of each small ball, use a sharp knife to cut a cross, then twice ferment for half an hour.

7. Steam the bun dough in a pot with water, bring to a boil first, then turn the heat down and steam for 15 minutes, then remove it and let it cool.

Sugar triangle

Ingredients: Middle-strength flour 300g, water 150g, yeast 3g, red sugar

Process:

1. Mix flour, yeast, and gradually add water, stir into a, then knead into a smooth dough, and let it ferment.

2. After the dough is fermented twice the size, there are large holes in it, the dough is fermented well.

3. In a small bowl, add red sugar and flour (2:1) and mix evenly, so that the red sugar filling will not flow out and burn your mouth.

4. Put the fermented dough and deflate it repeatedly, then evenly divide it into 8 parts, and shape each one into a ball.

5. Take a small ball and press it flat, then roll it into a pancake, put a spoonful of red sugar filling into it.

6. Shape the red sugar filling into a triangular shape, and tightly seal the edges to form a sugar triangle.

7. Ferment all the sugar triangles for about half an hour, and the sugar triangles become visibly thicker.

8. Steam the sugar triangles in a pot with an amount of water, add the water to the pot, bring to a boil and steam for 15 minutes, then take it out and let it cool.

Rice cake

Ingredients: Sticky rice flour 150g, middle-strength flour 50g, white sugar 30g, yeast 4g, water 210g, dried grapes

Steps:

1. Weigh sticky rice flour, middle-strength flour, white sugar into a basin, add yeast and water, stir with a spoon until a viscous paste is formed, cover with plastic wrap and put in a warm place to ferment.

2. The fermentation time depends on the room temperature, I fermented for 2 hours. After fermentation, the surface has dense small bubbles and the volume of the dough has increased by about 2.5 times, that's the fermentation time.

3. Stir the dough again with a spoon to remove the bubbles.

4. Use a paper cup or a cake mold, pour the batter into the paper cup, fill it about 80%, and it will increase in size when steamed, decorate the surface with a few dried grapes or cranberries.

5. Pour water into the pot and bring to a boil, put the rice cakes into the pot, medium heat for 20 minutes, then turn off the heat and take it out after 3 minutes.

Pumpkin steamed bun

Ingredients: Pumpkin puree 200g, egg 1, middle-strength flour 200g, white sugar 30g, yeast 3g, dried grapes, 1 inch cake mold 1

Process:

1. Peel and cut the pumpkin into pieces, steam for about 15 minutes and then puree it.

2. Take out the steamed pumpkin and mash it with a spoon, then add it to the basin.

3. Add middle-strength flour, beat in an egg, add white sugar and yeast.

4. Then stir the dough with a spoon until it forms a slightly dry dough, it cannot be formed into a dough, but it should not be too thin.

5. Pour the dough into a square mold, brush a little vegetable oil on the inside, pour the dough into it, and then smooth the surface with the back of your hand.

6. Then put it in a warm place to ferment, until it's 90% full, decorate the surface with dried grapes.

7. Steam the square mold in a pot with a suitable amount of water for 30 minutes, then take it out and let it cool.

Milk flavor hand-rolled buns

Ingredients: Middle-strength flour 300g, milk 210g, vegetable oil, yeast 5g, white sugar 2 tablespoons

Process:

1. Pour warm milk into a milk pot, add flour, yeast, and white sugar into a basin, add warm milk and stir into a , then knead into a smooth dough, and let it ferment for half an hour.

2. In a small bowl, add 25g of flour, pour hot oil on the flour and stir until it becomes a flowing state.

3. Roll the kneaded dough into a long strip, cut into small pieces, and divide them into 7 small pieces, each about 7けると, and shape them into buns.

4. Steam the bun dough in a pot with water, bring to a boil first, then turn the heat down and steam for 15 minutes.

Note: Red sugar can be added according to your preferences, you can make it a little less sweet, or a little sweeter, or focus on the sweetness and color.

Pumpkin bun

Ingredients: Pumpkin 500g, sticky rice flour 350g, translucent dough 250g, cheese powder 150g, white sugar 200g

Process:

1. Peel and cut the pumpkin into slices and steam for about 15 minutes, then add white sugar and puree it.

2. Use translucent dough, after soaking in hot water, roll it into a smooth dough.

3. Mix sticky rice flour with the pumpkin puree and dough until it forms a smooth dough.

4. Change the dough into 30g small pieces, add red sugar filling, wrap into the shape of a dumpling, and flatten into a pancake shape, and evenly spread red sugar filling on top.

5. Spread a layer of cheese powder on top, and roll it into a long strip, and wrap it into a bag shape.

6. Cut the strips into small pieces and plate.

Ingredients: Sticky rice flour 500g, white sugar 50g, boiling water 300g

Process:

1. Add white sugar and boiling water to sticky rice flour and stir until it forms a , and put it into a mixer and mix it into a dough.

2. Put the dough into a steaming basket and steam for 15 minutes.

3. Put the steamed dough back into the mixer and run for 2 minutes.

4. Spread a layer of yellow bean powder on a plate, put the dough in, and spread another layer of it, and then roll the dough into a long strip.

5. Roll the long strip into a bag shape and seal it.

6. Cut the strips into small pieces and plate.

Rice cake

Ingredients: Pumpkin 500g, sticky rice flour 350g, translucent dough 250g, cheese powder 150g, white sugar 200g

Process:

1. Peel and cut the pumpkin into slices and steam for about 15 minutes, then add white sugar and puree it.

2. Use translucent dough, after soaking in hot water, roll it into a smooth dough.

3. Mix sticky rice flour with the pumpkin puree and dough until it forms a smooth dough.

4. Change the dough into 30g small pieces, add red sugar filling, wrap into the shape of a dumpling, and flatten into a pancake shape, and evenly spread cheese powder on top.

5. Spread a layer of cheese powder on top, and roll it into a long strip, and wrap it into a bag shape.

6. Cut the strips into small pieces and plate.
