Recently, during this period, Lin'an Qingliangfeng National Nature Reserve Qian Tang Protection Station, Deer Dad Zhang Shu Yan and his colleagues started a 'side job', taking care of a little guest, a golden eagle owl.
At a glance, the little guy looks a bit like an owl, but is actually a type of raptor, sometimes very 'aggressive'.

This was February 17th entrusted to Lin'an Forest Police by the Lin'an Forest Police. It is a golden eagle owl confiscated, with a leg injury, and had been taken care of by the police for about a week before.
Just when it arrived at the protection station, the golden eagle owl was in a bad situation, it was difficult to stand, after a period of recovery, the little guy slowly recovered, and today it was even 'showing off'!
Take a closer look at this golden eagle owl, its looks are really high, especially the big round eyes, blink blink, just like two blue sapphires embedded in beeswax.
Zhang Shu Yan said that golden eagle owls are relatively late-maturing birds, unlike other birds that can find food themselves in about twenty days, golden eagle owls take about half a year to live independently.
In order to take care of this little guest, everyone put a lot of thought into it, beef, chicken and ham were arranged, to ensure its nutrition.
Zhang Shu Yan said that the rescue of small animals is a professional matter. Like this golden eagle owl, someone initially disinfected and medicated it, but because they didn't know about bird and mammalian bone growth are different, the treatment method was different. He said that when you don't know how to treat, it's best to contact the relevant department.
As a staff member of the nature reserve, Zhang Shu Yan and his colleagues care about every grass and tree, every bird and beast.
He said that after three or two months, this golden eagle owl has been trained for wildness, and may be able to return to nature smoothly, but there is also a possibility of failure. But why spend effort to do it, and try to do it well, because the matter itself has meaning, is a reflection and transmission of love for nature and social responsibility.
Therefore, he also called on everyone to love nature, protect nature, and love the life in nature: 'It may be beautiful to catch a little butterfly as a specimen, but it won't cause harm to the ecosystem, but that's not love, love doesn't allow for harm.'
