Chen Fuzhou: Building Another 'Dream Town' in Quanshan County
In the southeast of Quanshanwa Gang Town, there are three administrative villages built on the riverside, named Chouchu, Lusheng and Changzhuang, and Zhutou River, which flows from here, flows into Bashan Lake.
Chouchu Village is located at the entrance of Zhutou River into Bashan Lake, it is an administrative village of Quanshanwa Gang Town, and it is a place of mountains and waters, full of poetry and sentiment, evoking homesickness. The broad and flat Ren (Gang) Wa (Gang) Road winds through these villages.
On the banks of Zhutou River, the scenery changes with the seasons. Zhutou River winds between the mountains and ridges, like a slender, bright silk ribbon connecting the three towns of the western region.
Zhutou River is like a carefree rural girl, flowing towards Bashan Lake. The mountains are vast, the water is clear, the smoke curls, the paths in the fields, the birdsong in the treetops, the grazing cattle and sheep, it really feels like 'sitting in a car, the car is in a painting'
It is said that Chouchu has hundreds of acres of flower cultivation. On the weekend, the author went to harvest. In the warm sunshine of spring, the mountains began to turn green, the water was calm, the flowers were white or red, and the fields were green or yellow, it was a season of infinite vitality.
From afar, along the river, newly planted various tree seedlings stood tall and orderly. Peach gardens, apricot gardens, pear gardens, plum gardens, roses, purple cassia, cedar trees, all look neat and orderly.
The river bank dike was built in accordance with the terrain, without steel and concrete construction, filled with the fragrance of the soil. More than 10,000 willow saplings were planted along the bank. In the breeze, they danced lightly. There are also several wooden viewing platforms on the bank, which can be used to view the scenery and rest.
In the peach and willow greenhouses, about twenty local villagers were working and chatting. They told the author that more than ten of them were previously listed as impoverished households, including several disabled poor households. Flower planting men earn 100 yuan a day, women earn 80 yuan a day.
‘It’s really good to do here, close to home, not tired, and you can see such beautiful scenery,’ one of them said. ‘Our place is a mountain of loved flowers and fruits’ they said proudly, and laughed heartily.
Flower cultivation development company manager Chen Fuquan told the author; ‘In twenty days, various flowers will bloom one after another, Chouchu Village will become the second dream town of Quanshan County, a ‘check-in spot’ like Changzhuang Village'
