Music Square | Wisteria in Bloom

It was my first time visiting Zhongshan Ling after the New Year, and I wanted to see the wisteria at the Music Square. Wisteria was everywhere, but the wisteria at Music Square was the most captivating. The ancient corridor, the gnarled branches, and strings of purple flowers swaying gently in the wind, adorned Music Square's spring.

I wanted to see the wisteria at Music Square and also spot the pigeons. It wasn't just because of the fewer tourists, but also because there were very few pigeons flying out, and I didn't see the usual flocks of pigeons dancing in the air. Fortunately, while I was taking pictures of the wisteria, a white pigeon flew over, posed for a moment, and then flew away.

The weather was okay, blue and clear, but the midday sun was a bit too strong.

Behind the Music Square mirror, the Serbian spruce just sprouted tender buds, the vibrant green new leaves contrasting with this nearly century-old building, with a juxtaposition of old and new, and interplay of light and shadow.

This year's wisteria blossoms weren't as abundant as in previous years, likely due to the rigorous pruning. However, the few tourists were a welcome change, and this quiet scene was a rare treat.

On the way back, I happened to encounter a chubby orange cat on the roadside.
