Reflecting on My Trip to Italy, I Found the Most Beautiful Site Here

Italy is a country with an area smaller than China's Yunnan province and a population of only around 60 million. Regardless of its area or population, it's equivalent to one of our provinces. However, it boasts a remarkably rich tourism resource, particularly with numerous historical and ancient sites. Its number of World Heritage sites is comparable to that of China. It's also one of the hottest outbound travel destinations worldwide.

Recently, I couldn't go to Italy for travel, so I'm revisiting my previous trips. In my ten-day independent trip to Italy, the most memorable experience was near Florence. In my opinion, the most visually stunning site is the famous Cinque Terre. As the name suggests, they are five villages. From Florence, you take a train to La Spezia, then switch trains to reach the Cinque Terre villages.

The five Cinque Terre villages can all be reached by train, and it only takes a few minutes to get there. The transportation is very convenient. Some villages are close together, while others require a walk. These villages are one of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy, attracting visitors from all over the world.

The villages are located by the sea, offering beautiful scenery. The village is built on a hillside overlooking the sea, with houses stacked on top of each other in a layered and harmonious manner, and most of the houses have bright exteriors, making them particularly eye-catching. There's a viewing platform on the opposite hillside, which is the best place to admire the village.

There are often cruise ships moored by the shore. Taking a cruise to explore the Cinque Terre is also a good choice. The sea here is a deep blue, appearing very clear and unpolluted, with clean air.

After visiting a village, I take the train back to the station to continue exploring the next village. The frequency of trains is very high, with a train passing every few minutes. The railway is built along the coastline, and you can see the sea from the window.

The villages are distributed along the coast, each with its own characteristics and worth visiting. These villages are not large, and the roads are uneven, so they can only be explored on foot. The Cinque Terre is a World Heritage site, and it has been developed for tourism long ago, with all kinds of supporting facilities. If you don't find a day trip enough, you can stay in a local hotel and spend another day there.

Feeling tired from walking, I find a restaurant by the sea to sample Italian cuisine, enjoy the sea breeze, and admire the sea view, taking a short rest.
