Long Stay in Flower Thousand Bone: The Dacheng Waterfall on the Vietnam Border

These two sentences can mislead people into getting lost in Guilin and Yangshuo, which are densely populated tourist destinations. If you think you've enjoyed the 'best in the world' scenery just by visiting Guilin, you're seriously mistaken. Today, let's take you to explore the Longliu Fairy Realm in the Zhao Liying and Huo Jianhua starring hit drama 'Flower Thousand Bone'.
This fairy realm is the largest in Asia, the fourth largest in the world, the Dacheng Cross-National Waterfall, located in the border town of DaXin County, Suzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bordering Vietnam's Democratic Republic. It is adjacent to the Vietnamese border.
There are three ways to go to the Detian Waterfall: One, via the 70+ km mountain road from Xin'an County to Detian via Su Long Town; Two, via high-speed rail to Congzhou City and then to Detian Waterfall; Three, by taking the Jixing Road along the border highway to Detian Waterfall.
Detian Waterfall spans the borders of China and Vietnam, with a magnificent and spectacular momentum, and is connected to the Bayao Waterfall. The Guhu River, upstream of the waterfall, flows through Vietnam, and the downstream is in China and Vietnam, forming the Guhu River, a river that flows along the border between the two countries.
Guangxi is one of the major distribution areas of karst landform in China. Karst refers to the English translation of 'karst' from the English word 'karst.' Recently, it has become a highlight of 'Flower Thousand Bone' filmed in Guangxi's Hezhou Gushi Mountain and DaXin County's Mingshi Town and Detian Waterfall.
Some lesser-known scenic areas, besides being publicized because of a good drama or film, are also due to those photographers who are not conventional, they often discover and shoot unspoiled scenic areas, and with their photos and travel notes spreading, these places are gradually known to more people, especially with the rise of internet in our daily lives in the past ten years, the speed of dissemination is faster. This has brought about excessive development. The Detian Waterfall is a good example. The new tourist entrance has shifted to the ten kilometers away from the original Detian Village, and like many other scenic areas in recent years, tourists buy tickets and purchase an additional ten kilometers of travel distance to the tourist center, and this ten kilometers is a section of the S325 highway. It is not only bundled charged, but it's also a pity that you can't enjoy the beautiful Guhu River along the roadside.

The Detian Waterfall also has a little embarrassment. Vietnam built a water diversion dam upstream in 2015. That time, we arrived at noon and only saw the waterfall when Vietnam released water. We only saw half a day without water.
If you don't have other friends who are coming for the first time, I won't wait for them to be impatient and give up, until they are almost impatient, the water finally flows through. I was thinking, if there were a drought and the upstream did not release water, the tourists came in, and there was no waterfall to see, what would happen?
There are many Vietnamese vendors in the scenic area selling fragrant sandalwood bracelets. I advise everyone not to take their words seriously, even if the vendors demonstrate that the bracelets can sink in water, don't believe them. Taking it seriously doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy them. It's just that you shouldn't discourage others from buying.
We got up and walked into the waterfall again, and we met several Vietnamese vendors again along the way, one of our friends teased them and said that fifty yuan to buy a bag of these bracelets is about the same price, and she actually said yes and put several bracelets in a bag for him, and he bought it immediately, saying that it's just ordinary wood and it's worth this price. We ate lunch after getting out of the scenic area, and I couldn't help but ask them to try burning with a lighter, but the plastic burning smell was immediately thrown away by them, hahaha.
The Vietnamese tourists on the opposite side of the river are obviously fewer than the Chinese side. I asked the Vietnamese lady, what is it like to play there? She said it's not fun to play, no one buys anything, so it doesn't matter what the scenery is like as long as someone buys her bracelets, that's what she cares about and enjoys.
I used a 28-300mm zoom lens on my camera, which brought the opposite side closer, where the simple tourist entrance is, and I knew the tickets would not be as expensive as ours.
Beautiful Detian Waterfall, with its unique natural beauty, refreshing and invigorating, it's a great place to appreciate the beauty of nature, but now its development and management have made me lose interest.
Detian Waterfall and the surrounding attractions, including Mingshi River, Sandtou Waterfall, Blackwater River, and the karst landscape along the Detian River, form a continuous landscape of hundreds of miles in DaXin County.
