Photos Taken Beneath Greenland Icebergs: A Spectacular and Unusual View

Have you ever heard of Greenland? It has collected the world's loneliness, such loneliness that is strangely alluring. Many yearn to reach the ends of the Earth, to dance with the polar snow and converse with the land's coldness, to gaze at the starry sky in the silent wilderness, and let their hearts bloom.
The vast ice floes of Greenland hide breathtaking scenery. Few people have had the privilege of witnessing them firsthand. Who would have the courage to dive into the icy waters below, where the temperature hovers at -27 degrees Celsius?

At 49 years old, Anna von Boetticher and 39-year-old Tobias Friedrich possessed that courage. They braved the cold, cutting holes in the ice to dive beneath the Greenland ice floes, bringing us stunning images.

Swimming beneath an iceberg is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the difficulty exceeding imagination, and the beauty surpassing all expectation.
A lionfish, resembling a blooming flower, has orange-yellow tentacles around its mouth like the mane of a lion. Beautiful on the outside, but fiercely aggressive in nature. These tentacles are covered with stinging cells, capable of injecting venom, and the spines on its fins can cause death through paralysis.

Seeing icebergs underwater reveals these massive structures and forms, truly impressive.

Cutting into the ice and cutting out of it. Anna told reporters, 'Each time I pass through a small hole and see the landscape beneath the ice, I feel as though I've passed through a door into another universe.'

Anna only wore a 6mm thin wetsuit, and because of the cold, she couldn't stay submerged for long, with very short working times.

Underwater diving beneath the ice is incredibly dangerous, and the only escape is through the holes cut in the ice, but the exit may be blocked.

The world beneath the icebergs is a strange one – black and white, light and shadow, making you feel your own insignificance. Extraordinary, magnificent, and rare landscapes are often found in remote and seldom-visited places, so only those with strong willpower can reach them. This sentiment is perfectly fitting for Anna and Tobias.
