Duchang, Jiangxi: Building 'Homes' for Migratory Birds

This is a migratory bird (April 9th photo) taken at the Cangsu Heron Breeding Protection Base in Duchang County, Jiangxi Province. In 2012, the Duchang County Forestry Bureau of Jiangxi Province established the Cangsu Heron Breeding Protection Base to promote migratory bird protection work in the Poyang Lake region, providing better habitat and breeding conditions for herons such as Cangsu herons. According to the Duchang County Forestry Bureau, currently there are nearly 7000 Cangsu herons and other migratory birds residing in the protection base.
