Many people overdevelop their quadriceps muscles when they walk, or have uneven muscle distribution, which makes the thighs tilt forward and the legs look thick.
Improving walking method for power output
- Point your toes forward, don't turn outwards or inwards
- When walking, move from heel to arch, don't lock your knees, reduce excessive participation of the thigh muscles on the side and excessive tension of the calf muscles
Activate the gluteus maximus
Many people currently find it difficult to feel the gluteus maximus working during walking, because most people's activation is insufficient, so they often cause the quadriceps to overdevelop and 'thick legs and a sloping leg shape' in daily walking.
