Found the Feeling of Her Youth, Starting Fitness at 40, She Did It

Donna Maria De Lisser is a private trainer and bodybuilder living in London, England. She is a mature competitor who started fitness at 40 to maintain her best self. Before becoming fascinated with fitness, Donna's unhealthy lifestyle was the reason she decided to get in shape.

Due to this realization, she began working out her body at the gym, finding a professional trainer and starting to participate in mature bodybuilding competitions. Time flies, and today, Donna has become an industry champion. Simultaneously, she's helping other women change their bodies while juggling fitness and childcare. Come and see her fitness journey with a muscle!

Donna was largely unhealthy for most of her life, living a sedentary life during a busy lifestyle. When she saw photos from her youth, she realized she looked 'tired' a lot. This prompted her to start losing weight. She would wake up before leaving work to go to the gym to see her friends. Because she needed to exercise regularly, she completely changed her diet.

With workouts done on her own, Donna could do more things. Her physical condition was good, but at this time she was 40 years old. She wanted to pursue her dreams and decided to enter competitions for the senior group. Entering competitions was a huge challenge for her, but she knew she could achieve it through effort and determination.

To prepare properly, she spent a year training under the guidance of a coach. They focused on arranging her diet, while learning new movements to build her ideal physique. This training gave her confidence, enabling her to pose stylishly on the stage of 'Tomorrow's Stars'. She ultimately won first place in the show.

Training

Barbell squats are Donna's favorite exercise. She likes the burning sensation in her glutes and quadriceps that the movement brings. When she wants to train her shoulders, she always chooses an upright posture, quickly lifting and slowly lowering the weight.

In terms of cardio, Donna enjoys interval training on the treadmill. She likes to feel her heart rate increase as her fitness level improves. She also completed long-distance strength walking before competitions to burn calories while maintaining her muscles.
