Xiazhi County Forestry Development Center's Moring Station Director Kong Wenli introduced that the arriving white swans, scientifically known as White-backed Swans, are a national level II protected animal. They are migratory birds and have very high requirements for air, water quality, and ecological environment, and they usually choose places with excellent water quality and ecological environment to rest during migration.
The Huanghe Gudao ancient (Sangshuqun) in Xiazhi County is Shandong Province's only global important agricultural cultural heritage. In recent years, Xiazhi County has promoted the concept of ‘green water and mountains are gold and silver’ and implemented it effectively, and the vivid practice of protecting and developing Sangshu resources is making this world heritage site (huanfa xinyi guangming). Currently, Xiazhi County's forest coverage rate has reached 61.8%, and the negative ion content in the air reaches 130,000 per cubic centimeter. ‘Ecological high appearance’ has become Xiazhi County’s most dazzling name card.
