Anteater

Anteater (Latin scientific name: Myrmecophagidae), a mammal, with only 3 genera and 4 species, distributed in the Americas. The snout is long and pointed, tube-shaped; the tongue is retractable and covered with mucus, suitable for feeding on insects; the ears are small and round; the forelimbs are strong, with the third finger particularly developed and forming a sickle-shaped claw; the hind limbs also have 4-5 toes with claws; the skull is slender and fragile, without teeth. They feed on ants, termites, and other insects.
