Believing I Had a Dapper Little Black Terrier, But Five Years Later, My Dog Became a Gray and Stylish Dog
Dogs can undergo eighteen transformations, and this isn't just a human thing – it's common in the canine world, especially in mixed-breed dogs. Sometimes the changes are so dramatic that owners feel like they've been deceived, 'I adopted a goofy-cute dog! How did it become a cool and stylish one?' Witnessing a dog's transformation is a delightful surprise for owners, keeping our furry friends fresh and exciting every day.

Five years ago, owner Du Xiaojie adopted a mixed-breed dog named 'Kulo' from an animal shelter. At the time, 'Kulo' was entirely black, with droopy ears and two bright eyes full of curiosity and anticipation. Five years later, 'Kulo' had completely transformed – it was like a different dog!

A gradual white patch appeared on its fur, and its facial fur became denser, with its ears standing upright. Apart from those sparkling eyes, 'Kulo' looked like a completely different dog. Even its owner exclaimed, 'I can't recognize it!' Generally, dogs experience a major shedding cycle around nine months old. Because 'Kulo' is a mixed breed, the changes after transformation were different.
During the shedding period, white fur appeared underneath, forming an inside-out black and white pattern, so the change in 'Kulo' wasn't immediately noticeable. The owner thought it was just a normal black dog. It wasn't until a haircut revealed 'Kulo''s transformation. When the fur was short, 'Kulo' was a black dog; and when the fur was left long, a gray-white furry dog appeared.

The significant changes in appearance aroused the owner's curiosity, 'What breeds did 'Kulo' mix with?' It's truly amazing! The owner shared with us: 'Kulo''s transformation process had many stages: black as a puppy—black as a young dog—then became a color pattern—facial fur started to fade—the neck is now gray. 'Kulo' presents herself with different appearances every year, and the owner once suspected that she took the wrong dog when going to the hospital!

From the original straight-haired black dog to the current curly-haired gray-white dog, 'Kulo''s transformation may be more obvious and frequent than others. Every year, she presents herself with a new self!
