Stealing Vegetables, Climbing Buildings, and Adorable! Mou County: 'Senior Brother' Gets Lost in the City, Police Escort 'Home'!
On April 8th, at 3:00 PM, the Mou county Forest Public Security Bureau received a report: "In a farmer's vegetable field in Xuehua Well Community, Fengyi Town, a monkey was eating vegetables."
To prevent the monkey from harming people, police from the Mou county Public Security Bureau immediately contacted the Forestry Bureau's Wild Protection Division staff to go to the incident location. After verification, the villagers' claim of "monkey" turned out to be a national Grade II protected animal, a macaque. Because the macaque was afraid of people, it kept climbing to the roof and treetops, making it difficult to capture. Everyone succeeded in trapping it by throwing food such as bananas to the monkey.
Considering that it was late, the staff brought the macaque back for feeding and conducted a detailed examination, confirming that its physical condition was normal. On April 9th, police from the Mou county Forest Public Security Bureau and staff from the Forestry Bureau's Wild Protection Division went to the Mou county Jiu Ding Shan Nature Reserve to release it back into the wild.
