Xinjiang Fifth Station – Ürümqi Tianshan Wild Animal Park
Tianshan Wild Animal Park, also known as Bogda South Wild Animal Park, is located at the original Tianshan Ranch Team 2, Daskaliku District. It was built at the original Tianshan Ranch Bagatur Valley address. It is located east of Ula Po, west of Baiyanggou Village, south of about 1 kilometer from Tuo Wu Da High-Speed Road, and 25 kilometers from Ürümqi City. It is north to Liuvu Lake. The park covers an area of 63.12 square kilometers.
Tianshan Wild Animal Park has 69 species and 1147 animals, mainly consisting of 6 high-altitude herbivorous animals and 145 individuals, 9 desert herbivorous animals and 168 individuals, 45 species of birds and 275 individuals, 15 tigers, 15 lions, 14 leopards, 21 wolves, 23 bears, 200 monkeys, and 2 white tigers. Tianshan Wild Animal Park is located in an area with abundant wild animals, including national Level 1 protected animals such as snow leopards, north mountain sheep, plate mountain sheep, Przewalski's wild horses, black storks, and bustards; Level 2 protected animals include brown bears, markhors, gray cranes, etc. The park mainly raises wild animals in Xinjiang desert areas, a total of more than 10,000 heads and individuals.
Tianshan Wild Animal Park has exhibition halls such as the Tiger Hall, Lion Hall, Leopard Hall, Bear Hall, Monkey Island, White Tiger Hall, Elephant Hall, Hippopotamus Hall, Giraffe Hall, Zebra Hall, Orangutan Hall, Science Museum, Tourism Shop, Children's Playground, and Tourist Hotel.
When you enter Tianshan Wild Animal Park, you can see typical desert landscapes, sparse vegetation on the frontal alluvial fan, mainly composed of drought-tolerant plants. The park includes desert, mountain grassland, and sub-alpine meadows. A perennial stream in Tianshan Wild Animal Park has formed a green area with abundant vitality in the valley, creating mountain grasslands and river valley forests.
