After a simple handling, the police found that the swan's wing had bloodstains and could not fly. They first took the swan back and fed it and water, and the swan seemed to feel better. In the afternoon, the police drove the injured little swan to the Labor Park Wild Animal Rescue Center, which undertakes the rescue of wild animals in Baotou.

The staff of the Wild Animal Rescue Center carefully examined the little swan and found that the injured location was not on its wings but on its back below its wings, and it was preliminarily judged to be injured by colliding with an object during flight. The staff temporarily placed the little swan in a 'single room' in the zoo and prepared food. 'Our veterinarian will conduct a detailed examination, confirm the injury, and carry out treatment. It is estimated to take more than a month to fully recover.' Wild Animal Rescue Center staff member Zeng Yong introduced.

On March 16th night, when it was dark, the Tuotugui Forest Police Station received another alarm in Qiuxiayao Village, Xiao Zuozi Township. A villager discovered an injured swan falling behind.

Lu Zhi Ping and his wife discovered the falling swan while returning from the ground. They immediately called the police. Lu Zhi Ping introduced that he first heard the swan's call, approached and saw the large swan flapping its wings but unable to fly. He did not disturb the injured swan, but chose to call for help and quietly guarded it. 'It was dark, worried about wild dogs harming the swan that couldn't fly, and also worried that the police couldn't find the swan's exact location.' The honest Lu Zhi Ping and his wife guarded by the freezing pond for more than an hour until the forest police officers arrived.

The police judged that it was a large-billed swan, with a prominent tumor-like wart on its forehead. The police checked the scene and found that besides swelling of the foot pads, there were no obvious injuries, suspecting exhaustion of energy leading to falling behind, and transported the large-billed swan to feed and water. After a night's rest, the police drove the large-billed swan again to the Labor Park Wild Animal Rescue Center, handing it over to professional personnel.

Currently, the two swans are being treated by professional rescue personnel at the Labor Park Wild Animal Rescue Center, awaiting the conditions to return to nature. (Reporter Li Hongyao Li Yaqiang)
