At 6:00 AM, when the sky was still dark, we got up early to go up the mountain to watch the sunrise. The best viewing spot for Jiangling's canola flowers is Viewing Platform No. 1, which is the summit of a mountain. Our homestay was right at the foot of the mountain, and it took about 10 minutes to climb to the top, so we set off towards the mountain with the morning mist.
Because last night just had a light rain, we discussed along the way whether there would be a sunrise today, but although everyone was a little worried, they didn't slow down their pace of climbing. The entire village was still silent, only a few dogs in the village heard our footsteps and came out to look around. Looking down, you can see our homestay village, now so small, scattered in the golden canola flower sea, complementing each other, creating a beautiful landscape painting of mountains and fields and villages.
Due to the short flowering period of canola flowers, about 10 days, when we arrived, the canola flower sea was already half-bloomed, and the heavy rain last night had blown off many petals, so it wasn't as yellow as before. However, it didn't affect the magical beauty of Jiangling's flower sea.
Today the sky is mostly gray, so there's no chance to see the sunrise. However, we were surprised to see the surging clouds floating above the canola flower sea, and the distant mountains were even more shrouded in clouds, giving them a sense of magic. The spring breeze swayed the flowers, and the clouds and mist made people sigh.
Jiangling's spring scenery is absolutely beautiful.
