What is the Capital City of Indonesia? Many People Can't Say It in 3 Seconds

This is Liu Xiaoshun's Travel and Life Institute.

Currently, many Chinese people go abroad for travel, and they usually choose Southeast Asia first. On the one hand, Southeast Asia is closer to China, with more flights and cheaper tickets. On the other hand, Southeast Asia has beautiful scenery and a diverse and rich culture, and the prices are low, so it is deeply loved by Chinese tourists, which is naturally no surprise.

Southeast Asia is located in Southeast Asia, primarily consisting of the Indochina Peninsula and the Malay Archipelago. There are 11 countries in total, and many countries have a strong 'presence' among Chinese people, such as 'New Max Tai', which refers to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. However, some countries have a weaker 'presence', such as Indonesia.

When it comes to Indonesia, most Chinese people probably think of 'Bali'. As Indonesia's most famous tourist destination, I'm sure everyone is familiar with it. Many Chinese tourists have traveled to Bali. But if you talk about the capital of Indonesia, most Chinese people probably can't answer it within 3 seconds.

In fact, the capital of Indonesia is Jakarta, located on the northwest coast of Java Island. It is not only the 'first largest city' in Indonesia but also the 'first largest city' in the Southeast Asia region, with a population of more than 30 million, which is comparable to Chongqing, China's largest directly administered municipality. This is really surprising!

However, compared to the more developed cities in Southeast Asia, such as Singapore, Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta's development is not so smooth now. Its GDP is only about 200 billion US dollars, and the city's construction is also relatively backward. It's no wonder it has a low 'presence', and many foreign tourists are not familiar with it, which is no surprise.

However, Jakarta has risen rapidly in recent years, thanks to its population and scale advantages, and has become a 'rising' city that is attracting much attention in the Southeast Asia region. This has also led many people to look favorably on Jakarta's future development prospects. It is believed that Jakarta's 'presence' in Southeast Asia will become stronger in the future.

Have you ever traveled to Indonesia? What is your impression of Indonesia? If someone asks you what city is the capital of Indonesia, can you answer it in 3 seconds? Do you know that Jakarta is the 'first largest city' in Southeast Asia? If you have the opportunity, would you like to come to Jakarta to take a walk? Welcome everyone to leave a comment!
