China's First Water-Themed Seven-Star Hotel, with an Investment of Approximately 150 Million Yuan, Nicknamed 'Toilet Seat' by Internet Users
When people think of seven-star hotels, they invariably picture the Dubai Marina Hotel, the world's first seven-star hotel, renowned for its unique appearance and lavishness. However, with the rapid development of China's economy and the flourishing of tourism, China now boasts several seven-star hotels as well. Situated on the southern shore of Taihu Lake, in a region that's both 'like sea and not sea,' is the Huzhou Hilton Hot Spring Resort, China's first water-themed platinum seven-star hotel.

The Huzhou Hilton Hot Spring Resort is located on the southern bank of Taihu Lake, in the core area of the Yangtze River Delta economic development zone. It is a benchmark 'luxury' hotel created by Feizhou Group in the Taihu Lake region and a landmark of 'Lake Nine Bays' in Huzhou. Geographically, it's close to Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Nanjing, and surrounded by China's super-strong cities, making its consumer potential enormous.
The resort covers a vast area of 75 acres, with a height of 116 meters, easily visible from afar, standing prominently on Taihu Lake. The hotel began construction in 2008 and was completed in September 2012, with a total investment of approximately 1.5 billion yuan, designed by renowned architect Ma Yan. Its unique ring-shaped appearance and the beautiful surrounding Taihu scenery can compete with the Dubai Marina Hotel, and its luxury level is no less than that of the Marina Hotel, truly a world-first, China-unique.

Regarding local landmarks, the hotel echoes the 150-kilometer-distant Shanghai 'Oriental Pearl', hence its nickname 'Lake Pearl'. After the 'Lake Pearl' was completed, citizens and tourists flocked to it, eager to view its splendor. However, such a leading project with creative and design concepts was jokingly called 'toilet seat' by netizens. Although netizens' imaginations raised the hotel's profile, and spurred curiosity, leading to more tourists vying to see it. Out of curiosity, more tourists came to witness its splendor.
As night falls, the hotel, shaped like a crescent moon and a ring, lights up brilliantly, reflected in the rippling lake surface, exceptionally beautiful. It feels as if it's competing with the moon in the sky, hence the name 'Moon Hotel'. It is complemented by the Rainbow Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Tianxi Villas, Yacht Resort Villas and Tulip-themed Park, all spanning across the lake. Many tourists visit the scenic area every day. The scenic area has all-inclusive catering, hot springs, scenery, and amusement projects, and the 'Moon Hotel' is the most dazzling 'pearl' among them, particularly prominent.

The Moon Square in front of the 'Moon Hotel' is a concentrated area for tourists, with an open view and the best location to view the hotel's 'toilet seat' shape. The Huzhou Hilton Hot Spring Resort, jokingly called 'toilet seat', is harmoniously combined with the vast Taihu Lake. I wonder how much you know about it? Have you ever been to the southern shore of Taihu Lake? If you have the opportunity, you can come and view it for free. Welcome your insightful comments!
