Three-Day High-Speed Drive of 3018 Kilometers Across a 600-Kilometer Uninhabited Area
This is the last item in the Northwest China self-driving tour plan, traveling from Urumqi via G312 highway, entering the legendary scenery of beautiful, magical, exciting and challenging areas along the Jingjin Highway, crossing the world's longest desert and sparsely populated highway, and entering the heartland of Inner Mongolia. There is a possibility of detouring to Inner Mongolia and even Northeast China, and a preliminary plan will be made at that time, depending on physical condition. I realized that I didn't pay attention to hygiene while eating in Nalati, resulting in abdominal pain and diarrhea. I endured the stomach pain and continued driving on the long-awaited G312 highway, crossing the Tian Shan Mountains to reach Tonglia.
From Tonglia to Beijing, a total distance of 3018 kilometers.

Before this Northwest China self-driving tour, I searched for routes to Inner Mongolia, Northeast China, and back to Beijing on a map, reading about the Jingjin Highway and the experiences of self-driving travelers. The basic tone was: before crossing 500 kilometers of sparsely populated area, someone said: you must fill up your fuel in Ejina, and there are no gas stations in the sparsely populated area.

The sparsely populated area (desert area) should be 600 kilometers
While refueling at the Ejina service area, I consulted with the gas station staff, who told me: there are at least two service areas in the sparsely populated area, but to be on the safe side, it is best to fill up at each service area to prevent not being able to find a gas station.

The sparsely populated area in my mind: there is no human settlement. However, shortly after entering the sparsely populated area, I saw a green-skinned locomotive and a large number of trucks traveling along the Jingjin Highway. There were several gas stations along the highway where trucks were driving.
