Recently, the third-party independent social think tank Beijing Hua Xia Bai Qiang Tourism Consulting Center released the '2019 National County-Level Tourism Research Report' in Beijing, along with the '2019 National Tourism Comprehensive Strength Top 100 Counties' and '2019 National Tourism Development Potential Top 100 Counties' lists.
Xiangshan ranked 5th nationwide on the '2019 National County-Level Tourism Comprehensive Strength Top 100 Counties' list. Ningbo had 4 seats, with Ninghai, Cixi, and Yuhuan ranking 31st, 35th, and 53rd respectively.

Currently, Xiangshan County has 4 National-Level 4A-Class Scenic Areas, 2 Level-3 Scenic Areas, 1 Provincial Tourism Resort, 1 National Sea Fishing Competition Base, 2 International Self-Driving Camping Bases, 32 Provincial and Municipal Leisure Bases, 104 Provincial A-Class Village Resorts, and 865 Farmhouses (including 18 Provincial Silver-Level Farmhouses), with a bed capacity of over 180,000.
There are 25 travel agencies (including 2 Four-Star and 1 Five-Star Travel Agency Branches), 12 High-Standard Tourist Hotels, 8 Grade Hotels, and 229 Tour Guides (including 17 Senior Tour Guides and 1 Ningbo Golden Guide).
In 2019, the county's tourist reception volume reached 2915.02 million, and tourism revenue reached 326.01 billion yuan, respectively increasing by 16.13% and 18.02% year-on-year.
