Poem: ‘Let Love Be More Beautiful’
Modern Poetry: 'Let Love Be More Beautiful'
Author: Cai Si

I invite the white clouds to my hometown
I invite the sunshine to illuminate my village
I invite the gentle breeze to caress my ancestors
The place where my ancestors labored
Let the sun shine, let the wind blow
My heart's corn and wheat

Every blade of grass, every tree
I write at dawn, I rest at dusk
Sweat nourishes the fertile fields
Smoke carries the legacy of maternal love
My hometown
Without majestic mountains or rivers
The village of my ancestors
Just a touch of tranquility, fields and fences
A river flowing endlessly
The white of pear blossoms, the red of peach blossoms
All of it is my love

I invite the white clouds to my hometown
I invite the sunshine to illuminate my village
I invite the gentle breeze to caress my ancestors
The place where my ancestors labored
Everything is around me
I want to let love be more beautiful
