Proverb: Thirty Without Prosperity, Forty Without Wealth, Fifty and Sixty Prepare the Road to Ruin – What Does It Mean?
In one's life, there is a beginning and an end, we come to this world, and one day we will leave this world. On the not-so-long road of life, there are always a few important time nodes that are extremely important. What to do at a certain time node, if you miss this time node, it may affect the next time node.

Later, rural areas had proverbs that vividly described important time nodes in a man's life, namely, 'Thirty without prosperity, forty without wealth, fifty and sixty prepare the road to ruin'. What does this mean? If a man doesn't start building connections in his thirties, he won't be rich at forty, so his future will surely be bleak.
The 'prosperity' in thirty without prosperity doesn't refer to making money, no man can become rich at thirty, unless he's a wealthy child. Men in this age group are all in the stage of career development. Here, 'prosperity' refers to building relationships and finding opportunities.
Many successful people are working hard to build connections at this age, while also striving to find opportunities. Only with established connections can they lay a solid foundation for future struggles, and only by finding opportunities that truly belong to them can they determine the direction of future development. Therefore, thirty is not a time for wealth, but for successful men, this age period is even somewhat painful.
After thirty, it's forty, ten years of dormancy, and then a sudden burst of brilliance. When you have connections and resources, and have a direction, combined with the improvement of personal quality, then men will be at their most mature and attractive at forty, easily attracting the attention of women.
Many successful people's true fortune comes from starting at forty, but if a man is still not rich at forty, and has no connections, resources, or influence, it can basically be determined that he will spend his life in poverty and hardship.
Another ten years, men reach the age of knowing their destiny at fifty. Because of the shortcomings of the previous two stages, fifty is basically just eating and waiting to die. By sixty, you can prepare for your affairs. Simple phrases say a lot about how a man should strive in his life, and also give many people a direction to follow.
We are not belittling men at fifty, nor are all men at fifty truly successful. But as a man, if he wants to be successful in his career, he must have a plan for his life, otherwise he will ultimately be unsuccessful. Not to strive and work hard in youth, feeling that there is ample time, and suddenly, at fifty, only to stare at the vast sky and shed tears.
Although this is just a rural proverb, it has the same warning significance for urban people. Nowadays, life is much better, and many young urban people rely on their parents or depend on their parents, and they have nothing to do but stay at home playing games and wasting time. If parents complain a little, they say they're still young and there will be opportunities in the future.
Unknowingly, time is the most fair to everyone, time like water flows away and cannot be recovered. If you don't work hard in thirty, you will regret it when you're old.
