Original Poem: Flying Kites
Fly a kite
Author/ Zhou Shulin
Spring has come
The third day of March
Old and young indulge in flying kites.
Kites sway among the azure sky, eyes sparkle with life.
Flying birds, writhing snakes, auspicious dragons bringing auspicious wishes.
Bird's-eye view of the countryside, filled with splendor, green mountains and clear waters resembling Jiangnan (region in China).
Golden and vibrant hues,
Oranges and reds,
Millions of flowers and trees dance gracefully.
Adding color to the blue and white clouds.
Inviting the earth to bloom with joy.
Soaring high,
Long, winding lines
Letting go of worries for health and well-being.
Festive and abundant, happiness for all the people,
The motherland is strong and harmonious.
