How Should We, With Our Too Honest Personalities, Survive in This Society?
Sometimes, certain qualities don't add to our strengths, but instead become obstacles in our lives. As honest people, it doesn't necessarily mean we're weak, nor does it imply we're incompetent. However, our honesty sometimes doesn't bring us good fortune, leading to many unfortunate events and frequently causing us to reflect on our lives.
In today's society, people resort to any means to improve their lives, lacking thoughtfulness in their work and focusing more on people and relationships. Exploiting others, resorting to trickery and shortcuts to build happiness based on the misfortune of others, is rather lacking in social grace. We can avoid doing bad things, but we must also prevent bad things from happening to us. So, how can honest people survive in this society?
One, lack of boundaries
In today's society, there are many people who are demanding and intrusive, often targeting honest people like us. As honest people, we often avoid conflict and choose to tolerate, which often leads to the escalation of others' actions, causing us harm and leaving room for them to exploit our weaknesses.
Two, inability to say no
We should have responsibility and integrity. This doesn't mean we must agree to everything others ask. For example, someone borrows money, even though we know they are unreliable, we still reluctantly agree to lend it. Someone asks us to do something difficult and unfavorable, and we yield to their pleading eyes and agree. Our honesty traps us in a cycle of trouble, a kind of foolishness. This approach is a form of idiocy.

Three, being overly nice
When it's beneficial to us, we should strive for it; as passive and agreeable old souls, others can take advantage of our kindness.
Four, lack of vigilance
Honest people often have simple lives, are straightforward, and lack vigilance, allowing unstable elements to enter their lives. We like a simple life, but that doesn't mean we are oblivious to danger. We must learn to refuse and avoid things that could negatively impact our lives.
We not only need to learn common sense and principles, but also understand how to get along with people. We need a diligent attitude towards work, but also the ability to discern the appropriate scale and the art of dealing with people. Honesty doesn't mean being foolish or cowardly. When interacting with people, we should be sincere, and also learn to satisfy ourselves; this is a help and care for others.
