Jess’s condition began to affect her relationships with others. Her friends and family were very worried, believing that Jess was about to die. After a year of grueling effort, Jess’s weight increased by over 20 pounds. Shortly after, she met her boyfriend, who owned a gym and taught her how to lift weights. He also introduced Jess to a nutritionally rich, high-protein diet to build muscle.

As a result, Jess progressed quickly in fitness, to the point where she was qualified to become a fitness coach herself. Then, she began to help other women struggling with their mental and eating disorders, providing them with advice on how to live a healthy lifestyle. After years of hard work and helping others, Jess became a successful personal trainer and fitness icon, her story is admirable.

Training

Over the years, Jess’s training style has changed dramatically. When she was anorexic, she did mostly cardio, without touching weights. Combined with her unhealthy eating habits, her body was eating its own muscle for fuel.

However, Jess now uses a completely different method. She lifts heavy barbells and uses large compound weights and machines to target all her muscles. As for cardio, Jess only does it when she wants to lean. Even then, she makes sure not to overdo it.

Nutrition

When she was first recovering, Jess set small goals for herself, ensuring slow and steady progress without putting too much pressure on herself for food.

However, like her training, Jess’s current diet is unlike her past diet. Now, she follows a typical bodybuilding and cutting model for women. She adds weight to the frame and then slowly focuses on eating lean foods like fish and vegetables.
