Office Yoga: 5 Minutes a Day to Eliminate Neck Pain

Always working at a desk, you must often feel neck discomfort, right? Take a little time each day to practice this yoga pose, and you can eliminate neck discomfort and prevent and cure cervical spondylosis. Here's how to practice:
First step: Choose Samatha Padottanasana (Diamond Pose) as your starting position (as shown in Figure 1), adjust your breathing to be steady, and relax your whole body.

Second step: 1Inhale, raise both arms to the side of your body, upwards, palms joined together, turn your palms upwards (as shown in Figure 2). Lower your shoulders naturally, maintaining steady breathing.

2Inhale, retract your chin, stretch the back of your neck, looking at the center of your chest (as shown in Figure 3).
3Inhale, return your head to the original position (same as Figure 2).

4Exhale, arch your back, raising your chin 45 degrees, stretching the front of your neck (as shown in Figure 4).
5Inhale, return your head to the original position (same as Figure 2).
Third step: 1Inhale, raise both arms to the side of your body, palms facing down (as shown in Figure 5).

2Inhale, bend your right elbow, placing your palms on the left side of your head; exhale, lower your head to the right side, keeping your left arm parallel to the ground, stretching the left side of your neck, looking up to the left.
3Inhale, return your head to the original position (same as Figure 5).

4Inhale, bend your left elbow, do the other side exercise (as shown in Figure 7), the action is the same as above.

Fourth step: End the movement
Exhale, relax your arms naturally downwards, returning to the Diamond Pose sitting posture, adjust your breathing, relax your whole body. One set of exercises finished.
Repeat this practice 5-10 times (the specific number of repetitions depends on your physical condition).
By persisting in practicing this movement, you can improve your shoulder and neck condition, eliminate shoulder and neck pain and discomfort, prevent and cure cervical spondylosis. It can also make your body become more and more flexible, helping you to walk further on the yoga road with happiness.
