This frog is heavier than a teddy bear, with succulent and fresh meat, and is now on the verge of extinction, a pity.
Cameroon Giant Frog is the African Giant Frog, the largest frog in Africa (the largest tadpole is an unreasonable frog, very peculiar), stretching its hind legs straight can extend about one meter, this frog is mainly insectivorous, and has strong jumping ability, but it is hunted to near extinction due to deforestation, it is now an endangered species.
I. The Largest Frog

The African Giant Frog is the largest frog in the frog family, a mature male frog weighs up to 2.5 kg and the maximum length can reach 33 cm, if its hind legs are stretched straight, its length can reach 1 meter and its weight can reach 3 kg, it is the largest frog.

Jumping ability is also very strong, it can jump up to 5 meters, they are stimulated by movement, they will almost pounce on any moving object within its jumping range, and then swallow the prey whole, the prey will suffocate or shock before digestion. The African Giant Frog is one of the few frogs with ridges on its teeth, with tooth-like structures protruding, it is said that when these giant frogs close their mouths, their teeth feel like shards of glass.
When it feels movement passing through, it jumps towards almost all animals within its hunting range, including insects, small birds, small reptiles, amphibians, rodents, and even cannibalism, it can even swallow a large mouse whole in a few minutes. If the prey is too large, it may spit it out and wait for the next meal.
II. Cameroon Giant Frog is on the verge of extinction

The African Giant Frog is the largest tailless animal in Africa, not only has a plump and huge body, but also has abnormally developed and strong hind limbs, it is a famous 'high jumper'. In the 1980s, the United States imported a large number of giant frogs from Africa for 'high jump competitions'. This frog has a strong jumping ability and can jump up to 5 meters high. Half of the giant frogs died on the road due to long-distance transportation.

The more forests are cut down, the fewer edible prey there are in the forests, the poor people who traditionally rely on hunting have to turn their eyes to giant frogs because the meat of this frog is extremely delicious. Not only do local people eat giant frogs, but in cities like Yamenda and Douala, eating giant frogs has become a fashion, banquets and weddings are not missing this dish.
In the past 30 years, due to the destruction of the habitat of the giant frogs by nearby villagers cutting down forests and farming, the giant frogs faced serious damage. In some other areas, rivers are also polluted. Especially the rampant hunting, the African Giant Frog faces extinction. This rare frog is facing the danger of extinction, its name is on the red list of endangered species stipulated by the Washington Treaty.
