Tens of Thousands of Cranes Migrate North from Southern Regions to Hengshai Lake

Recently, tens of thousands of migratory cranes have flown in from the south and densely settled on the surface of the Hengshai Lake, forming a beautiful and spectacular landscape. In recent years, with the in-depth implementation of wetland protection work, the ecological environment of Hengshai Lake has been continuously improving, with not only wide water surfaces but also mudflats, waterways, farmland, and woodlands, providing a good habitat and abundant food sources for numerous bird species. Currently, 324 bird species have been recorded in Hengshai Lake, including 8 national Level I key protected bird species and 49 Level II key protected bird species.
