Misty Water Fields, White Egrets, a Poetic Landscape Painting
Recently, a flock of egrets visited the warm wetlands in Menglian County, Puer. The Molo River fields, the ripples on the water, and the graceful egrets formed a poetic landscape painting.

Egrets are wading birds, commonly found in Menglian's reservoirs, wetlands, fish ponds, riverbanks, and paddy fields, preying on small fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and crustaceans in shallow water. Menglian's egrets include the Great Egret, White Egret, Yellow-billed Egret, Middle Egret, and Crane Egret, with the first four species having entirely white plumage.
