Harbin Volunteers Release 78 Wild Birds

Volunteers Release Wild Birds.
It was a beautiful spring day with blue skies and white clouds, and it was time for the little birds to return home. Recently, the Harbin volunteer team of the China Wildlife Association conducted a return visit activity, releasing all the wild birds that were sheltered in villagers' homes last winter. In just one day, they successfully released 78 birds. The villagers were very cooperative and voluntarily assisted the volunteers in opening the cages and letting the birds return to the sky.
During last winter's patrol, volunteers rescued wild birds that were not suitable for winter release and sheltered them in villagers' homes. They agreed to release the birds under the witness of volunteers in the spring. With the recent warming weather, the volunteers spontaneously organized themselves and, under the premise of doing a good job of epidemic prevention and protection, they came to villages such as Lidong Village, Shuangcheng Village, Qingfeng Village and Mingwang Village to find the villagers who originally sheltered the wild birds, and jointly released the birds in cages on the spot. These wild birds, including swallows, sparrows, waxbills and suzi, will reproduce and inhabit in Harbin in the spring and summer.
This 'return visit' made the volunteers realize that the villagers' awareness and protection of birds had significantly improved. In the past, there were signs of bird catching and raising in these villages, but now there are basically no such phenomena.
