Two White Giraffes Killed in Kenya; Globally Only One Remains
On March 10th, local time, the Hirola Protection Area issued a statement saying that a female white giraffe and its offspring were killed by poachers. The natural park's representative said on social media: 'The people who kill white giraffes don't realize how important it is, which means there is currently only one male white giraffe in the world.'

The protected area's statement said it was a dark day for the natural park and Kenya, as they lost this rare species. The identity of the poachers is currently unknown. In 2017, Kenya discovered the white giraffe and gained global attention.
