Clothes Stolen from Community! Surveillance Camera Cat Thief Caught
Reporter Que Yalin / Comprehensive Report
It was you all along! A series of theft cases have frequently occurred in a South Korean community recently, with petty thieves randomly stealing clothes left on balconies. This has been going on for a long time. Through the tracking of surveillance cameras, it was discovered that the culprit was actually a three-color cat. Every night, it would sneak out when it was dark and quiet, carrying back its favorite towels or socks, leaving its owner dumbfounded and exclaiming, 'It's my cat!'

The female owner said that the cat, nicknamed Maru, who only steals other people's clothes, usually lets it roam outdoors during the day, so no one knew where it was going. Until her mother found a number of unfamiliar socks, gloves, and towels in the courtyard a while ago, and confirmed that they were not hers, she decided to monitor the camera, only to find that these were all the trophies carried back by Maru.

The owner installed a mini camera for Maru to see what it was doing during the day. In the picture, Maru jumped over the neighbor's fence to the balcony to pick up a favorite glove, and quickly ran home. The crime process was completely filmed. The owner said that Maru biting fabric back could be due to a psychological feeling of emptiness. Previously, it had given birth to 7 kittens, but the family couldn't afford so many cats, so the kittens were all given to others after growing up.

The owner promised that he would spend more time playing with Maru in the future, so that it would not have excess energy to go out. As for the clothes brought back, they would be returned to their original owners after washing, and an apology would be made to the neighbors, hoping that such things could reduce the occurrence.
