Rare! National Protected Animals Appear Together to Forage

On March 15th, observation personnel recorded the scene of 4 national first-class protected animals, white-necked long-tailed pheasants, and 1 national second-class protected animal, white crane, feeding together in the Zi Yun Peak mountain of Juzi Peak National Nature Reserve in Mingxi County, Fujian Province.

Mingxi County Wild Animal and Plant Protection Station experts told reporters that the scene of two different rare bird species feeding together is very rare.

It is understood that the white-necked long-tailed pheasant is a Chinese native bird and is listed in the ‘National Key Protected Wild Animals List of China’, belonging to national first-class protected animals, and is mainly distributed in Jiangxi, Anhui south, Zhejiang west, Fujian north, Hunan, Guizhou east and Guangdong north of the mountains,
