Under the trainer's direction, the three monkeys stood in a row, then turned left, right, and stood at attention, the largest monkey finally raised its hand to salute.

As more onlookers gathered, the trainer instructed the monkeys to 'increase the intensity' of their performance. Under his direction, one monkey set up a 'basketball hoop', and another monkey jumped up from the ground to catch the trainer's high-thrown ball and successfully dunked it. The monkeys' performance earned cheers from the onlookers, with some throwing coins into the enclosure.
