In recent days, staff members of the Wucheng Protection Management Station in Poyang Lake Protection Zone observed over 2,000 white cranes gathering and circling while migrating out of Poyang Lake during patrols in the deep lake area.
According to monitoring data, the main bird species in the area currently are geese and ducks, and the number of shorebirds (sterns and widgeons) has increased.
