28 Critically Endangered Spoon-billed Sandpipers Discovered in Guangdong
28Recently, related units such as the Zhanjiang Red Mangrove National Nature Reserve Administration in Guangdong conducted a survey of rare birds and discovered 28 critically endangered Spoon-billed Sandpipers (yù), as well as 6 Black-faced Spoonbills. In 2008, the IUCN Red List upgraded the protection status of Spoon-billed Sandpipers from endangered to the highest endangered category of Critically Endangered. (CCTV)
