White Giraffe Mother and Calf Killed by Poachers in Kenya, Only 1 White Giraffe Remains in the World
How to peacefully coexist with animals is a perpetual challenge for humanity. Although many countries are working to combat poaching, illegal activities persist, and many species remain on the brink of extinction. Recently, a rare white giraffe was again lost in a protected area in Kenya, which is regrettable.

According to the CBS website on March 10, there are 3 white giraffes left in the world, and two of them were killed by poachers.
The founder of the Hirola Conservation Programme, Ali (Abdullahi H, Ali), confirmed the news.

The rangers discovered the body of a female white giraffe and its calf in Garissa County (Garissa County).
Now, there is only 1 white giraffe surviving.
Giraffes have white skin due to a rare white variation, in which their skin cells cannot produce pigment deposition.
In 2016, a white giraffe was first sighted. By 2017, they were photographed by people.

'We don't know when they died, it was probably about a month ago,' Ali said.
Another manager said that two giraffes were still seen by people three months ago.
'For the Ijara community and the entire Kenya, today is a sad day. The killing of the giraffe is a setback for the community's great efforts to protect endangered species, and it reminds people to continue to provide support for protection work.'
