According to the Hong Kong 'East Online' report, at 8:52 AM on the 6th, staff at Donghua Hospital on Prince Street, Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong, heard a sound of an animal in the staircase. They investigated and found a suspected fruit bat wandering into the hospital, lingering near the water pipes in the staircase, so they called the police. The reporter said the animal 'is not like a cat, not like a dog'.

Harbor Animal Control personnel immediately arrived with tools and cages, successfully capturing the fruit bat and putting it in a cage. It was taken away for examination. This suspected fruit bat was about 1.5 feet long (approximately 45.7 cm) and weighed about 10 pounds (approximately 4.5 kg). There were no visible injuries on the surface.
