Protect Pangolins, Protect Ourselves!

February 15th is World Pangolin Day.
Pangolins are very cute animals with scales, slow-moving and harmless to humans. They are timid and their scales protect them from attack. Pangolins are friends of humanity. They play a vital role in protecting forests, dams, and maintaining ecological balance; they are known as 'forest guardians'. They skillfully dig tunnels to access white ant nests, protecting trees from white ant infestation.
is an animation that children in China love to watch, in which a pangolin dies trying to save the(pumpkin kids) and an old man. Many children are saddened by its heroic sacrifice.
Pangolins live in 51 countries around the world, and are listed as endangered species in all of these countries.
It is estimated that over 1 million pangolins were poached and traded between 2000 and 2013. Between 2010 and 2015, a total of 1270 pangolin confiscation actions were reported from 67 countries and regions across six continents, totaling 120 tons of pangolin products and 46,000 individuals.
In nature, pangolins' scales and defensive mechanisms effectively evade attacks from carnivores such as lions and wolves. However, they have no effect on humans; hunters can easily pick them up and take them away.
