Wild Discovered Again in Fenjia Shan Water Reservoir Segment, Second Time Since 2016

On the afternoon of January 20th,, a retired employee of the Fenjia Shan Water Reservoir Administration, discovered a while patrolling the water reservoir's protective forest near Pengzouyuan Village in Liulin Town. He brought it home to raise.
, also known as the Chinese giant salamander (scientific name: Andrias davidianus), is a type of amphibian in the class Amphibia and the suborder Plethodontidae. It lives in freshwater. is not a fish, but the largest amphibian in terms of body size, with an average length of about 1 meter and the longest reaching 2 meters, with a weight of 20-25 kilograms and the largest up to 50 kilograms. Its color varies depending on its habitat, with the back being brown, reddish-brown, or dark brown, and the top with irregular dark spots, and the belly is pale brown or gray. In 1988, the 'People's Republic of China Wild Animal Protection Law' listed the as a national level two key protected wild animal.
On January 21st at noon, reported the news to the Fengxiang County Agricultural Bureau. The bureau praised and thanked for protecting the wild animal and arranged for the county aquatic station to protect it in accordance with the regulations for the protection of aquatic wild animals.

Aquatic station fisheries personnel came to 's home to measure it on site: length 60cm, width 12cm, weight 5.2kg, confirmed that it was a national level two key protected animal, the Chinese giant salamander.
Subsequently, after contacting the city aquatic station, it was sent to the city aquatic station for temporary rearing and observation of its health condition, and after it recovered to normal, it will be released into its suitable growth protection area.
