Lion Refuses to Eat Turtle, Biting Shell and Showing Frustration, Internet Users: 'Too Difficult!'

Lions are the masters of the African savanna, formidable hunters that inspire terror in prey. Their roars are enough to make all animals flee, but some 'tough nuts' they simply cannot crack, leaving lions powerless. On March 2nd, the British Daily Mail published a set of magical photos showing a lioness unable to catch prey.

The photos were taken by 64-year-old photographer John Sampson, who captured the scene in a national park in Zambia. John explained that they were searching for material to shoot when he suddenly saw a lioness using its paws to claw at a stone, even attempting to bite it. Upon closer inspection, they discovered that the stone was a poor, unfortunate turtle.

As with any conflict, there's now a lion versus turtle that's harder than rock. The lion encountered a genuine tough nut. The lion opened its mouth, trying to bite through the shell, but failed. After that, the lion used its paws to flip the turtle over, trying to attack from below, but it was no success. The lion became increasingly angry and roared several times. However, no matter how much the lion tormented it, the turtle stubbornly kept its head tucked inside its shell, refusing to show its head.

The lion was furious, but unable to do anything, and obviously the hardness of the shell surprised it. Its teeth were rubbed and worn. It opened its mouth, showing a frustrated expression. After a while of struggling, the lion lay exhausted on the ground. The photographer said that this sight was very rare, and he had never seen anything like it. He didn't know why this lion wanted to eat a turtle. However, this fight was a long-term battle, and John said that he believed the turtle would survive, then drove away. Internet users felt sorry for the lion: 'It's so hard!'
