We know that dogs, since being domesticated by humans, have always lived with humans. In a dog's eyes, the owner is everything, and it will dutifully maintain the owner's interests. All of its behavior is geared towards pleasing the owner, and it doesn't understand human affairs, but it does know that everything must make the owner happy, and anything that displeases the dog is something the dog should not do, as it perceives the consequences as very serious.
A dog at home might go without a meal or be beaten, and it considers it normal. It reflects on its own mistakes, wondering where it offended the owner? Although its logic often fails to find the correct answer, it appears bewildered, but it can only bear the repeated misunderstandings. After all, it can't speak. Basically, almost all dogs in human homes are like this. Ultimately, the owner is always right, and it has always been helping the owner, regardless of whether the owner's actions are right or wrong. This is the saying of 'evil attracts evil dogs,' because the owner's preferences determine the behavior the dog undertakes to please the owner, even if the owner incites it to bite others, it considers it appropriate.
Therefore, dogs aren't ignorant of right and wrong, but rather, they're limited by the owner's understanding. All of its behavior should be said to be an extension of the owner's behavior. Some things, we really can't blame the dog for entirely, because its worldview determines that in its eyes, only the owner matters.
Dogs are indeed very kind and sincere animals, and they can be very close to humans. Their affection for humans is also very uncommon. A friend has a small dog at home, and this small dog was a stray that the friend picked up from the roadside. At that time, the little dog was in a very poor condition, already dying, and very small. Seeing it was pitiful, it was brought home. It was just a typical rural dog named Yellow.
After Yellow entered the house, with the patient care of the friend, who ate and drank every day, it recovered in a few days and became lively. The life force of the rural dog was very strong. The friend lived in a rural area and, like other rural families, raised chickens and ducks. Yellow entered the house and got along well with these animals, especially a rooster. They played together every day, making others feel very interesting and joyful. So, everyone always felt that animals also exist in harmony. Just like this, Yellow grew up quite big, but its name was still Yellow.
Later, the friend felt that the chickens and ducks were running around freely, and the house was very messy, so he caged them. This made it impossible for Yellow and the rooster to play together anymore, but Yellow still wandered outside the cage to play with the rooster, and sometimes he would just sit and watch them.
In general, when guests come to a rural home or there are matters to be done, chickens and ducks are slaughtered to use. This happened to be when the friend's house had something to do, he wanted to kill a chicken to eat, but it was seen by the dog and desperately tried to stop it. The friend didn't think so much, and just took the dog aside. But the dog kept calling, clearly indicating that he didn't want to kill the rooster, and of course, we can all guess the result – Yellow couldn't stop this tragedy from happening.
From that day on, Yellow changed. He became depressed and without spirit, completely different from the former Yellow. Yellow always sat by the chicken coop, watching, and sometimes he would lie on the ground and cry. This is when he died, presumably because of too much sadness. His friend was killed, and he passed away without anyone to accompany him. This may be the feelings between animals. The friend had raised Yellow for a few months, and Yellow died so suddenly, which was unexpected. No one had ever thought it would happen.
We know that dogs are very emotional animals, and they have a special fondness for their owners. Generally, they will never go against their owner's wishes. However, perhaps like humans, dogs also have different personalities. Maybe Yellow, this rural dog, was just too righteous? As humans, we really shouldn't ignore the feelings of animals.
