‘Mantis Catching Cicada, Yellow Bird in the Rear’ – A ‘Sister Sequel’: Fox Catches Rabbit, Eagle is on Top

Within the San Juan Island National Historical Park in Washington State, wildlife photographer Kevin Ebi unintentionally captured this amazing sequence of animal moments.

A fox just caught a rabbit, and suddenly a bald eagle descends from the sky, intending to snatch it.

The fox naturally didn't chew on the squirrel, and the eagle forcefully took it off the ground.

A fierce food struggle.

After a series of struggles, the fox still couldn't hold onto its prey, allowing the eagle to snatch it from its mouth. The entire process lasted 8 seconds.

Unintentionally, a '' (mantis catching cicada, yellow bird in the rear) – this fable's real 'sister' was staged: 'Fox catches rabbit, eagle is on top.'

You'll feel sorry for the fox for two seconds, but the survival of the fittest is an eternal and unchanging law of nature. Fortunately, the fox was ultimately unharmed.
However, the editor is curious:
Why didn't the eagle simply and directly grab the fox?
