On January 21st, Hainan Tropical Wild Animal Park transferred 18 Hainan pine deer to a new pavilion opposite the old pine deer pavilion, which is equipped with facilities such as ponds, sandpits, lawns and trees, to create a more natural habitat for them. To eliminate the Hainan pine deer's unfamiliarity with 'new home', Hainan Tropical Wild Animal Park staff scattered sand and pine deer feces from the old pavilion into the new pavilion. Hainan pine deer are a national level protected animal and a rare deer species native to Hainan Island.
