Coordinates – Hanting Na'er Nature Reserve: Welcomes Nearly 10,000 Migratory Waterbirds
This channel news (February 28) recently, the natural protection area located in Hanting Banner welcomed nearly 10,000 migratory waterbirds, including white pelicans and swans.
Hanting Banner Forestry and Grassland Bureau Natural Protection Center Director Li Jin introduced that with the gradual improvement of the ecological environment of Hanting Banner, a large number of migratory birds will fly to the natural protection area to stay and rest every spring.

"This year the weather is warming up earlier, and the migratory birds have arrived about a month earlier than in previous years. Among these migratory birds, we also discovered the national grade-II key protected animal white pelican and swan," Li Jin said. "Now the migratory birds staying in Hanting Banner have almost 10,000, and last year there were more than 100,000 birds, including black storks, oriental white storks, Tibetan bustards, and gull-billed terns, here breeding and residing."
In recent years, Hanting Banner has taken a series of effective measures to continuously increase the ecological protection efforts, the Kubuqi Desert ecological belt along the Yellow River has been effectively improved, the desert oasis area has increased year by year, and the ecological environment has been significantly improved, attracting rare protected animals to reside here.

It is reported that the natural protection area is a comprehensive natural protection area to protect the Yellow River bank mudflat ecological system and the Kubuqi Desert north edge grassland ecological system.
