The Least Notable Place in the Xia Dynasty Mausoleum Scenic Area, Few Tourists, and a Man-Made Attraction
Many people who come to Yinchuan, Ningxia, need to start their understanding of this land from the Yinshao Mausoleum. It's a truly mysterious dynasty that played a crucial role over hundreds of years, and its enigmatic disappearance remains a lingering mystery.

Visiting the Yinshao Mausoleum Scenic Area, this area covers an area of over 58 square kilometers and includes 9 imperial tombs, 200-plus tombs of royal and aristocratic figures. Currently, only a limited number of tombs are open for visitation, so many visitors come here primarily for sightseeing, with some artificially constructed areas within the site.

The scenic area encompasses all the Yinshao imperial tombs, and the open areas are restricted to these. Therefore, infrastructure has been built to facilitate visitor access. Besides the Yinshao Mausoleum Museum before entering the site, which mainly showcases historical artifacts and cultural heritage,
Upon entering the scenic area, the experience is more direct. Compared to the former glory of the Yinshao Mausoleum, now there are sizable trees accompanying it, having been restored after many years. It appears solemn and dignified,

The Yinshao Story Art Museum is one of the artificially constructed areas within the scenic area. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded, despite what was expected,

If the Yinshao Mausoleum is what people most anticipate, these isolated mausoleums standing amidst the yellow sand are undoubtedly to supplement their understanding of the Yinshao Mausoleum,

Initially, I expected more supplemental consumption, such as more merchandise for sale. However, upon entering, I discovered that besides one souvenir shop, many stores had closed, perhaps due to the low visitor numbers,
From the current scene, it's clear that much of the Yinshao history has been artificially created, unlike many other imperial tomb scenic areas in China, where these artificial constructions lack the desire to truly immerse visitors,

Because there isn't a well-established system, there are few merchants and limited product offerings, so most visitors don't stay for long, especially group tourists, whose time is limited and wouldn't choose to visit here,

Free travelers may spend more time here, but because there are few reasons to linger, they can only browse and walk around,

The place looks bustling and vibrant, but due to the lack of visitors, it feels desolate. It's unclear whether it's due to the site itself or other reasons. Occasionally, people will take photos here, and it's arguably the most suitable place within the Yinshao Mausoleum to take photos, especially in the artificially constructed areas,
In a street like this, if you don't see anyone, it might be the happiest thing to do as a travel photo, without having to compete with many people for the best camera angle,

In another hall, there are many mud-brick figures depicting the beginning, development, and demise of the Yinshao Dynasty. The figures vividly demonstrate the history through mud-brick art, which is particularly appealing to children,

Although the mud-brick sculptures are generally average, they are vivid and eye-catching. Many people entered here, and the entire visit took about 20 minutes,

Overall, the Yinshao Story Art Museum and the museum share some overlapping content but are a secondary choice for many visitors due to the monotonous atmosphere of the commercial street.
