It's Zhenyuan Ancient Town. This town's reputation is also very large in Guizhou, located in Zhenyuan County, Qinzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It's surrounded by mountains, and the river meanders through the town in an 'S' shape. If you've seen aerial photos, you'll find this ancient town remarkably resembles a Tai Chi diagram. Therefore, this town also has another name: Bagua Ancient Town. If I were to choose my favorite among ancient town styles, this would definitely be the one – it's unparalleled.
As an ancient town, it's historically significant. It was established as a county 30 years after King Qin Zhao, with a history of 2200 years. It's also one of the oldest towns in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The town's geographical environment is also very good, surrounded by mountains, and the town is built beside the river, which is easily understood. In addition, this ancient town is also a multi-ethnic integration town, with 20 or more minority ethnic groups living here.
As an ancient town, it doesn't have the commercial atmosphere of a city, nor the hustle and bustle of a city. Walking down the street, you'll feel very quiet. The loudest sound here is probably the sound of passing trains, which, however, indicates the town's extremely convenient transportation. The Railway, (Ku-Liu Reconstruction Line), 320 National Highway and the (Hu-Kun Expressway) all pass through it. It's 90 kilometers from Congjin Airport, 170 kilometers from Zhijiang Airport, Hunan and 270 kilometers from Guiyang Airport. It's definitely a great place for retirement. What do you think?
